Condensed from his autobiography by Diane M. Anderson. Joseph Carlos Clapp was named and blessed by the Prophet Joseph Smith. He lived at Nauvoo when the Martyrdom occurred, and went to Utah with his parents. After his father entered into polygamy, he took his mother, two sisters, and little brother and escaped to California. They joined with the Reorganization, and he became one of the foremost missionaries in the Church. 40 pages.
